After tasting the Simply Nature Creamy Almond Butter a second time, I gave the cashew butter another go.  This spread is more pleasing to my tastes because it is not overpowered by sweetness.  It only has 2 grams of sugar per serving.  The spread is very smooth and slides gently onto celery and apple slices.  The thickness is the perfect texture to stay on vegetables and fruit.  It does not need to be refrigerated.

The flavor of the cashews is light, but enough to add flavor, fat, and protein.  It goes great with vegetables and fruit.  I can also see it working well with toast or crackers.  It might even work as a substitute for peanut butter in a PB&J for children who do not like peanut butter’s strong odor.  The sunflower oil gives a soft smell to the spread and enhances its airy essence.  It is an Aldi brand, so they are the only store that carries it.  I would definitely recommend it for those who like a nice thicker nut butter for spreading or dipping.
